The X and Y pivot points are designed to coincide, keeping the rotation radius small so the framing holds while you fine-tune. A 75mm base provides 360 degree panning for stitched panoramas. The head is machined from 6061-T6 aluminium alloy and is quoted as working from minus 30 to plus 60 degrees Celsius, so it copes with a frosty morning on the hill as well as a warm studio. The top clamp is Arca-Swiss compatible. At just 81mm tall and around 680g, with a 3\/8 inch mounting thread and a maximum load of 20kg, the G20 keeps the camera low over the tripod for stability while still giving geared precision.
