Supreme Comfort

All Grub’s footwear use self-insulating INSU-FOAM ULTRA bootie construction which is super soft and super bouncy, with a compression set of less than 7% verses 20-25% for other neoprene boots, so they remain soft and comfortable for much longer. INSU-FOAM ULTRA has a fine micro cellular structure, which stops heat transfer through its structure. The bootie exceeds the long-term effectiveness of waterproof membranes and lofted insulations, such as GORE-TEX and 3M Thinsulate.

Using a super stretch Chloroprene material, commonly used in deep-sea dry suits, this material has a 300% stretch and is covered with a 4-way stretch knitted nylon jersey. This means the bootie can stretch up to 150% as a laminate with our super dry, moisture wicking terry knit lining.

Superb insulated wellingtons

I bought these to replace a pair that I got 9 years ago which I managed to catch on a barb wire fence. No longer waterproof, I was grateful that they were still available and I was able to replace them at less cost than my originals. Very warm in winter and hard wearing with good grip.

Worst boots I've ever had!!

These boots are absolute rubbish! I purchased my first pair at the end of October and within a week the heel was coming away. I contacted bushwear who were brilliant and I decided to give the wellies another chance but the second pair were worse than the first! Not only the heal but the front too.

I ordered these as a Christmas present and they were great to start with but then the sole started to come away from the shoe after only wearing them twice, therefore starting to let water in!!

Another fail from Grubs

If this review was solely about the service I received from BushWear, it would be five-star, no question. But it isn't. It's about Grubs Eskline 8.5 Wellington. This is the third pair I've had that have failed after barely a week's wear and as always it's the same old problem: the heel has come away. Important point: I always - but always - use a boot puller to remove wellingtons. I bought my first pair of Esklines about 5 years ago and they were truly excellent. When, eventually, they fell apart through wear and tear, I immediately bought another pair. A month later, the heel came away and they were returned (not to Bush Wear it must be said). The next pair lasted two weeks (returned again) and the latest pair have excelled themselves: they've lasted all of 11 days. In all cases the heels come away from the boot, presumably because they're poorly constructed or, perhaps, because there's some cost-cutting going on at the manufacturers. I find it staggering that these boots can fail three times over. Am I the only one who's lost a heel when removing the boot? On the basis of all I've written, I can't possibly recommend them to anyone. My latest pair are on the way back to BushWear and this time I'll take a refund that I can put towards a more reliable brand.
