Quality high, environmental friendliness low

I bought a pair of Seeland Hawkers and was very impressed by the build quality. They would have ticked most boxes and I would’ve kept them, but as I’m trying to be more environmentally friendly with my purchases, I couldn’t find Seeland on any eco indexes, nor any environmental or ethical info on their website, which was a real shame.

Instead, I decided on a pair of boots from a rival brand that were on eco indexes and had info on their website about their commitment to environment - despite them scoring 50%

If Seeland provided more info on how they as a company are achieving environmental goals, then I probably would’ve kept the Hawkers.
