Birchwood Casey Walnut Wood Stain

This is the colour of mahogany or rosewood, nothing like the grey brown of walnut. My M1 rifle is a now a deep red, I will have to strip it all again and find a more accurate stain. I am not remotely satisfied withthis product, Shows the importance of trying a test piece, but I thought a reputable 'expert' company like B C would be trustworthy.
