The Croots Malton cartridge bag carries 100 cartridges and is handmade in England from English bridle leather, drawn from natural vegetable-tanned hides. A semi-aniline finish and greased grain give the leather its smooth, deep colour, and the wax treatment feeds the hide so it weathers well across a season in the field. The hinged top uses a speed-load design, opening wide so you can grab shells quickly between drives or on a busy peg without fumbling. Inside, a full suede lining protects the cartridge heads and keeps the contents from rattling. A 2-inch wide cotton webbing shoulder sling spreads the weight comfortably when the bag is loaded and worn over the shoulder on a long walk-up day. The leather is offered in Dark Havana and Chestnut, both deepening with age and handling. Measuring roughly 10 inches wide by 4.5 inches deep, it is a traditional, well-proportioned bag built for driven and rough shooting, and the kind of piece that improves with years of use.
