Backlanz make carbon-legged bipods aimed at people who carry a rifle rather than set one down on a bench. Five models are stocked: the Carbon Bipod, the lighter Carbon Bipod LT, the Carbon Bipod Notched, the Precision Alpine and the Precision Long Range.
The choice comes down to two things. First, weight against stability - the LT is the one to take up a hill, the Precision Long Range the one that will hold a heavier rifle steady behind the scope. Second, notched legs against smooth. Notches give you repeatable, positive height settings you can find without looking, which matters on a rifle that gets set up in a hurry off broken ground; smooth legs adjust to any height but need a moment to set.
Check the attachment before you order - what fits your fore-end depends on whether you have a sling stud, a Picatinny rail or an Arca dovetail. Ask if you are unsure which your rifle takes.
