A single moderator, and a well-judged one. The Evolve is a full-length over-barrel design made in Scandinavia, aimed at stalkers who want real sound reduction without hanging weight off the muzzle.
Why over-barrel. The body sleeves 100mm back over the barrel and adds only 130mm in front of the muzzle. That is 230mm of moderator for 130mm of extra rifle — the difference between a rifle that still handles from sticks or in a high seat and one that does not. At 380g it is light enough to leave fitted all day.
Fit. The 48mm body clears most scope and bipod set-ups, and it will take barrels up to 23.7mm at the muzzle — measure yours before ordering. Four thread options cover most UK stalking rifles: M14x1, M18x1, and spigot fitments in M14x1 and M15x1.
Calibre. Rated to .300 Win Mag and below. Evolve measure the effect at -30 dB(C) peak on .308 Win; smaller calibres do better again. It will not make a centrefire safe to shoot without ear defence — nothing will — but it takes the crack down to a level that is kinder to your hearing, your neighbours and the ground you are working.
The legal position. A sound moderator for use on a Section 1 firearm must be authorised on your Firearms Certificate before we can supply it. That means a moderator condition, or a slot showing it, for the relevant calibre with acquisition available. Supply is face to face on production of the certificate; we cannot despatch a moderator to a private address. Check your certificate before ordering.
