The HIKMICRO HM-THUNDER-E is an interchangeable ocular lens (eyepiece) for the HIKMICRO Thunder thermal imaging module. Where the standard Thunder is set up as a clip-on unit ahead of a day or night scope, fitting this lens converts it into a stand-alone thermal monocular or riflescope for direct-eye viewing — HIKMICRO's own UK dealer listings describe it as upgrading the clip-on module for hand-held or scope-mounted use. It is fitted with a soft rubber eyecup for a comfortable, stable fit against the face and increases magnification over the clip-on setup, useful for picking out detail and identifying quarry at longer range after dark. The lens exchanges onto the front of the module without tools. It is specific to the original (GEN1) HIKMICRO Thunder and is not compatible with the Thunder 2.0 or Thunder 3.0 ranges — check your module generation before ordering.
