The Pixfra Mile 2 M419 is a compact handheld thermal imaging monocular built for night-time observation, deer stalking, foxing and pest control. At its core is a 384×288, 12μm sensor with <25mK NETD sensitivity paired with a 19mm f1.0 objective lens, giving a detection range of up to 1000m and picking out the smallest heat signature in poor light, fog or heavy rain. Images appear on a sharp 800×600, 0.32-inch OLED display with a choice of six colour palettes, while 2.05x base magnification and 1x/2x/4x/8x digital zoom let you scan wide or close in on detail. Built-in Wi-Fi connects up to four smartphones or tablets at once, up to 40m away, so the free Pixfra app can stream a live group view alongside on-device video recording and still image capture. The rechargeable battery runs for up to eight hours, footage is stored on 16GB of built-in memory, and the IP67-rated body copes with dust, rain and temperatures from -30°C to +55°C. Weighing just 320g, it's genuinely pocketable, and comes complete with a soft pouch, neck strap and wrist strap for carrying in the field.
