      Viper Tactical is budget military-pattern kit, and it earns its place in a field sports catalogue for two reasons: the Mesh-Tech tops and the accessories. The Mesh-Tech Armour top and T-shirt are an open-weave wicking layer in green, VCAM and VCAM Black — cheap enough to own several, which matters for a layer that gets sweated through on a summer stalk and needs washing after every outing.

      What to check before ordering. Viper sizing runs to a military chest measurement rather than a retail small/medium/large, so measure rather than guess. PCS 95 trousers are a combat trouser cut — roomy in the seat, knee pad pockets, and not quiet fabric, so they suit rough shooting, pest control and keepering work rather than sitting in a highseat. The Camo No Mark tape is genuinely useful for lamps, scopes and bipod legs because it leaves no residue on a finish.
