Wulf Rifle Scopes & IR Illuminators

    Filter

Wulf sit at the budget end of night shooting kit — scopes, illuminators and a rangefinder aimed at rabbit and fox work where you do not want several thousand pounds of glass bouncing around a truck bed.

      850nm or 940nm

This is the decision that matters and most people get it the wrong way round. The 850nm illuminator throws further and gives a brighter picture, but the emitter shows a faint red glow at the lamp — foxes that have been lamped before will pick it up. The 940nm is effectively invisible to the quarry but you lose a meaningful amount of range and brightness for it. On heavily worked ground the 940 is usually worth the trade; on fresh ground the 850 gives you the reach.

The ShadowLux is the three-colour torch if you want white light as well as IR in one hand.

      Scopes

The Hurricane 3-10x40 and 4-14x44 are the compact patterns — short, light and sensible on an air rifle or a rimfire. The Fireball LR 4-16x50 and 6-24x50 run a half mil-dot reticle and a bigger objective, which is the one you want if you are shooting in poor light or holding over at distance.

      Supporting kit

The Arrow 1200m is a Picatinny-mounted OLED rangefinder, and the Guardian binocular harness takes a quick-detach thermal mount — useful if you spot with a thermal and shoot with glass.
