The Leupold BackCountry Cross-Slot Base is a one-piece scope base machined from 7075-T6 aluminium and finished in a hard-coat anodised matte black. Designed specifically for the Remington 700 Short Action, it accepts both Picatinny- and Weaver-style rings, giving you maximum flexibility when choosing your scope mounting system. The 20 MOA built-in elevation slope pre-corrects your zero point, leaving your scope's internal adjustment range free for long-range dialling rather than burning it all up at close-range zero. The cross-slot pattern provides a secure, repeatable platform that resists shifting under recoil. As the direct link between rifle and optic, a scope base deserves the same quality standard as the glass it carries — and the BackCountry delivers that in a lightweight, low-profile package. Made in the USA and backed by Leupold's lifetime guarantee, this base is built to perform through seasons of hard use in the field.
