- Tough acetate covering protects the barrel crown and bore from abrasion
- 44 inches long overall — longer reach than the standard 37-inch rod
This Parker-Hale TUBED one-piece rifle rod is built for cleaning .22 to .243 calibre barrels, identified by its grey rod and red handle. A hardened and tempered steel core runs the full 44-inch length, covered in a tough acetate coating that stops the rod marking or abrading the bore as it passes through. The ball-bearing swivel handle allows the fitted brush, jag or patch to follow the rifling rather than twisting against it, for a cleaner and more even pass. Brass fittings resist wear at the working end. This version carries a male thread, matching Parker-Hale's own range of UK-pattern brushes, mops and jags, rather than the female-threaded American fittings sold separately. The extra length over the standard 37-inch rod suits longer barrels, or simply gives more room to work with on the bench. A dependable, durable rod for anyone maintaining a .22-class stalking or target rifle who already uses Parker-Hale's UK-thread cleaning attachments.
