The Hornady NTX is a 35 grain, .224 diameter reloading bullet engineered for shooters who require a fully lead-free projectile without sacrificing terminal performance. Developed for use in areas where lead ammunition is restricted or prohibited, the NTX features a frangible copper alloy core in place of traditional lead. The design mirrors Hornady's proven V-MAX architecture: a hard polymer tip sits above a precisely engineered cavity that compresses on impact, driving the tip rearward into the core with increased force to trigger near-instant expansion and explosive fragmentation. Match-grade AMP (Advanced Manufacturing Process) bullet jackets deliver consistent concentricity and outstanding accuracy across all ranges. The streamlined, polymer-tipped profile produces flat trajectories well suited to the fast varmint calibres that accept a .224 bullet, including .222 Remington, .223 Remington and .22-250 Remington. California-compatible and compliant with lead-restriction regulations, this bullet offers a reliable, accurate option for fox, rabbit and other varmint work where non-lead projectiles are required. Supplied in boxes of 100 (item #22240).
