The Hornady Seater Die #2 is a precision bullet seating die for handloading .224 / 22 calibre rifle cartridges. At the heart of the design is Hornady's In-line Bullet Seating System, which holds the bullet, the case neck and the seating stem in perfect alignment within a floating sleeve before the bullet enters the case neck — giving consistent seating depth and improved accuracy round to round. An alignment sleeve is included as standard, a feature some manufacturers charge extra for. The die also incorporates a built-in roll crimper, removing the need for a separate crimp die and saving a station on your press. The Sure-Loc lock ring clamps around the entire die body with constant pressure; the locking screw tightens without touching the threads, and integrated wrench flats let you remove or fit the die without risking pliers damage. A retainer ring near the base pulls away in seconds for easy cleaning. The die uses the standard 7/8"-14 thread and fits any press that accepts standard dies. Shell holder not included. Made in the USA and backed by Hornady's lifetime guarantee — guaranteed never to break or wear out under normal use.
