The Hornady Cam-Lock Case Trimmer Pilot #10 is a precision guide pilot sized .312, designed for use with the Hornady Cam-Lock Case Trimmer. It locates the case mouth centrally against the cutter head to ensure each case is trimmed squarely and to a consistent length — a critical step before seating new primers and reloading. Pilots for the Cam-Lock Trimmer are interchangeable, allowing the same trimmer body to service a wide range of calibres by swapping the appropriate pilot. The .312 diameter suits cartridges in the .303/7.62 bore class, making this pilot the correct choice for reloaders working with cases such as .303 British or 7.62x39. Hornady's Cam-Lock Trimmer uses a large-diameter replaceable cutting head of hardened tool steel, and the pilot system is key to its accuracy — without the correct pilot, the case mouth can shift during the cut and produce an uneven trim. A straightforward addition to the reloading bench for anyone trimming .312-bore cartridges.
