Buy a consumable or an accessory, not clothing
The single most useful piece of advice on this page. Jackets, boots and gloves are the obvious thing to buy a shooting person and almost always the wrong thing: fit is personal, brand loyalty is fierce, and a stalker who wears one make of boot has usually arrived there after some expense. You will be returning it.
A flask, a knife, a pewter pin or something for the larder gets used and does not need to fit.
