The range, roughly by weight
The Coolmax II liner goes under everything else and is there to cut friction. Trail and Dayhiker are the light end. All Season Wool II and the Trapper Master midweight are the year-round stalking socks. Pro Hunter 2.0 comes in short and long to match the boot. Expedition, in standard and long, is the heavyweight.
Waterproof socks
The Harkila waterproof sock is for wet ground in a boot that is not waterproof, or in a boot whose membrane has had enough. It is not a substitute for a boot that fits.
Length matters more than people expect
Sock height wants to clear the top of the boot cuff. A sock that finishes level with the cuff will work its way down inside it on the second hill and take the skin off the back of your heel.
