The 3M Peltor Optime II H520F is a passive folding-headband ear defender developed with the input of field sportsmen and women, making it a popular choice for game shooting, clay and simulated game days, and rifle stalking. Each cup is bevelled at the lower edge so it clears the rifle butt cleanly when you mount the gun, while soft, wide cushions spread pressure evenly around the ears and a large internal cavity helps cut down on heat and moisture build-up during long days in the field. The padded headband folds flat for easy storage in a jacket pocket or gun slip between drives. At around 230g, the H520F is genuinely lightweight, and it carries a Single Number Rating of 31dB, tested to EN 352-1, giving solid protection against muzzle blast without cutting you off from range commands or dog work. Cushions and foam inserts are available separately as Hygiene Kits, so a worn set can be refreshed rather than replaced. Finished in green, one size fits most.
