The Marttiini Lynx 132 is one of the most traditional patterns in the range, best known for its distinctive sheath: a leather tassel at the tip represents the tufted hair on a lynx's ear-tips, an old Finnish motif said to ward off bad spirits and mark the knife out for peaceful use only. Under that detail sits a proper working puukko - an 11cm stainless steel blade ground for controlled carving and skinning, on a curly birch handle finished with varnish for grip and durability. At 22cm overall it's sized for genuine field use: dressing game, camp preparation, whittling and the general cutting tasks that come with a day's stalking or hunting. The leather sheath, tassel and all, is worn on the belt in the traditional Nordic style. It's a straightforward, well-balanced knife rather than a showpiece, built to the pattern Marttiini has used for generations and finished with one of the more distinctive design touches in the whole Lynx range.
