The SWIZA D01 is a compact Swiss-made pocket knife from Delémont in the Jura Mountains, built around SWIZA's 360° ergonomic tool-plate design rather than a traditional stacked-blade layout. Closed it measures 95mm and weighs 66g, with a 75mm blade in 440 stainless steel hardened to 57 HRc for a durable, easy-to-maintain edge. The blade locks in use and releases with a press of the SWIZA cross set into the Olive handle, so it stays safely open under load. Machine-polished metal surfaces and finger-grip slots on the blade and tools give a smooth, one-handed opening from either hand. Alongside the blade, the D01 carries three further tools: a punch/reamer awl with a sewing eye, a sommelier-style corkscrew, and a pair of tweezers, covering piercing, bottle-opening and fine precision jobs around camp, garden and workshop. The Olive handle itself is soft-touch and scratch-resistant for a secure grip in wet or cold conditions, and the whole knife is dishwasher-safe up to 80°C — SWIZA recommend a drop of oil on the moving parts afterwards. As a locking folder, it's best suited to pocket and outdoor task use rather than casual carry.
