These Bisley snap caps are nickel-finished dummy cartridges for 12-gauge shotguns, supplied as a matched pair in a presentation box. They let you safely dry-fire and test the action without driving the firing pins onto bare metal, and they take the load off the springs when the gun is stored over the close season or between outings. Each cap carries a spring-damped false primer that absorbs the strike of the firing pin, so you can check trigger pulls, ejectors and lock-up without risking a broken pin or a battered breech face.
