This is the replacement bushing set for the Wheeler Barrel Vise, the gunsmith's vise used to clamp a barrel securely for removal or installation without marking the metal. The pack contains three solid oak blocks: one pre-drilled to 1 inch, one pre-drilled to 3/4 inch, and one solid, undrilled block that can be bored out to suit an odd or oversized barrel diameter. Oak is used because it grips firmly under vise pressure while staying soft enough not to scratch or mar the barrel's finish, making it a straightforward like-for-like replacement when a gunsmith's original bushings have worn, split or been drilled out to non-standard sizes. Fitting is simple: swap the worn bushing in the vise jaw for the correctly sized replacement, or use the blank block to create a custom bore for a barrel that falls outside the standard 1 inch and 3/4 inch sizes.
