H&N Excite Smart Shot BBs offer a significantly safer alternative to traditional steel BBs without sacrificing shooting enjoyment. The lead ball core deforms on impact rather than bouncing back, dramatically reducing ricochet risk and making these BBs suitable for steel-target practice indoors and out. A double-electroplated copper coating — H&N's PowerCoat process — adds controlled hardness (up to 20% harder than plain lead) to protect spring-operated magazines from wear, while keeping hands clean during loading. Perfect roundness is held to tight tolerances for consistent accuracy shot after shot. Calibre is .177 (4.5mm), each BB weighs 7.4 grains, and the tub contains 1,500 BBs. Intended for smooth-bore BB guns only — not suitable for rifled barrels. Important: these BBs have a lead core and are non-magnetic, so they will not function in pistols or rifles that use a magnet system to load BBs into the breech.
