The Parker-Hale Hambledon Tweed Shotgun Slip is a padded gun cover built to carry and protect a single shotgun between the cabinet and the shoot. The body is made from Parker-Hale's original heavyweight Hambledon Tweed, so each slip takes on its own natural, slightly rustic character rather than a uniform factory finish. Inside, a thick fleece lining cushions the stock and barrels, and a hand-sewn blocked muzzle end gives extra protection at the tip of the barrels where a slip takes the most knocks. Access is via a traditional flap-and-buckle closure backed up by a full-length zip, so the slip can be opened right out to dry after a wet day in the field. Carrying comes from a vegetable-tanned bridle leather shoulder sling with a padded patch, fastened with solid brass buckles and finished with matching leather trim throughout. This 30in size suits shotguns with barrels up to that length, making it a practical, well-made way to move a gun to and from the game shoot or clay ground without exposing it to the weather or the boot of the car.
