The Benelli Lupo BE.S.T. Black is a bolt-action centrefire rifle chambered in .270 Winchester with a 22-inch barrel, built around Benelli's chassis-style Lupo platform for stalking and general deer work. Every metal component that matters in the field — barrel and bolt — carries Benelli's BE.S.T. (Benelli Surface Treatment) finish, a diamond-like carbon coating applied by vacuum plasma technology that resists rust and corrosion, backed by a 25-year warranty. The free-floating, Crio-treated barrel carries a 3-shot sub-M.O.A. accuracy guarantee, while the Progressive Comfort recoil-reduction system and Combtech cheek pad cut felt recoil and cushion the shooter on repeat shots. The aluminium alloy chassis, shim system and adjustable length of pull let the stock be set up to fit the individual shooter rather than the other way round, and the ambidextrous safety, two-piece Picatinny rail and detachable box magazine round out a rifle built for genuine use rather than the cabinet. The muzzle is threaded and supplied with a thread protector. As a centrefire rifle, this is a Section 1 firearm and can only be sold and held against a valid Firearm Certificate.
