This Parker-Hale one-piece rifle cleaning rod pairs a hardened and tempered steel core with a tough acetate coating, so the rod runs down the bore without ever putting bare steel against the rifling. The ball-bearing handle spins freely as you work, letting a brush or jag follow the barrel's twist instead of scraping across the lands, and the fittings are solid brass to keep corrosion at bay. Finished as a grey rod with a red handle, it's built for small calibres from .22 up to .25, and the 44-inch length gives plenty of rod for longer rifle barrels with room to spare.
