The Opinel No.12 is a compact folding saw built for clearing branches and woody growth in the field rather than slicing food. Its 12cm blade is forged from high-grade carbon steel with an anti-corrosion coating, so it bites cleanly and resists rust between outings. Two rows of sharp teeth angle back towards the handle, meaning the saw cuts on the pull stroke for fast, controlled progress through limbs up to around 8cm thick. The varnished beech handle is hard-wearing and warm in the hand, sealed against moisture and dirt for life out in the woods. Opinel's Virobloc locking ring, cut from stainless steel, secures the blade open while you work and locks it shut for safe carrying.
