Traps for legal vermin and predator control.
- Spring traps — the Fenn Mk4 for rats and grey squirrels, the Mk6 for rabbit and larger vermin. Spring traps must be set in a tunnel and used only for the species they are approved for.
- Larsen and corvid cage traps — top-entry and twin side-entry Larsen traps, and the Larsen Mate clam trap for magpies and crows.
- Live cage traps — for grey squirrel and mink.
Know the law before you set anything. Trap use is governed by the Spring Traps Approval Orders and, for live capture, by general licence conditions that differ between Scotland, England and Wales and change from time to time. Live traps must be checked at least daily. Larsen and crow traps must display the correct identification sign — the BASC Scotland trap identification sign is stocked here.
