These are Hornady InterLock soft point bullets in 6.5mm (.264" diameter), 140 grain, supplied as component projectiles for handloading your own centre-fire rifle ammunition. They are not loaded cartridges. The spire point profile carries an exposed lead tip for controlled expansion and reliable terminal performance on deer-sized game, while Hornady's secant ogive keeps drag low for a flat trajectory and dependable accuracy. The defining feature is the InterLock ring, a raised band inside the jacket that locks into the lead core so the two stay together through expansion, retaining mass and energy for deep penetration. A tapered jacket and inner grooves give consistent expansion across a range of velocities, and the cannelure allows a secure crimp when seating. With a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.465 and a sectional density of 0.287, the 140 grain weight is a popular choice for 6.5mm cartridges such as the 6.5x55, 6.5 Creedmoor and .260 Remington. Sold in boxes of 100, these bullets suit stalkers and reloaders who want a proven, accurate hunting projectile. Loading is governed by published Hornady reload data; a firearms certificate is required.
