The FF Trek Alpine is Bestard's lightweight mountaineering boot from the Fast Forward range, built for the fast and light approach to modern mountaineering. At 1,350g per pair (UK size 8), it's a genuinely light semi-rigid boot that doesn't sacrifice the rigidity, support and protection needed for demanding mountain days — fast and semi-technical ascents, high-level alpine trekking, scrambling and glacier traverses. The Kevlar, stretch Superfabric and water-repellent Microtech upper sits on Bestard's FF Tech last and is lined with a GORE-TEX Performance Comfort membrane for a dry, breathable fit through changeable weather. A Bestflex 6 semi-rigid midsole and Vibram Mulaz EVO outsole, blending EVA and TPU, deliver secure grip and cushioning over rock, scree and mixed terrain, while the Close Fit System and TMS System combine for a close, supportive fit around the leg with efficient evacuation of moisture inside the boot. Reflective elements improve low-light visibility, and quick-lock lacing with a tongue fixation gives a fast, secure fit. On the foot it feels closer to a trail shoe than a mountaineering boot, while still handling serious alpine ground — a useful boot for hillwalkers and stalkers covering long approaches on foot.
