These Nosler Custom Competition projectiles are .224 calibre (22 cal) 77-grain Hollow Point Boat Tail match bullets, supplied as components for reloading rather than as loaded ammunition. Built for shooters chasing tight groups on the target line, each bullet pairs a highly concentric jacket with a precise lead-alloy core, and every batch is hand-inspected for consistency. The small hollow-point meplat trims the frontal area to reduce drag, while the boat-tail base steadies the bullet through its flight, giving a quoted ballistic coefficient of 0.340 and a sectional density of 0.219. At 77 grains in the heavier end of the 22-calibre range, these need a fast-twist barrel to stabilise properly, so a minimum 1-in-8" twist is recommended. They suit handloaders working up accurate loads for .223 Remington and 22 calibre target and varmint rifles, and come in a box of 250. Bullet length is 0.980" and the projectile is non-coated with no cannelure.
