Quite correct: the jacket is a medium weather product as having worn it in heavy rain it immediately let water in, right down the front. But as an under-layer it worked well, but with two drawback. The first is really annoying: the attached hood cannot be clipped back in place. So on windy days it flaps between laying on your back /shoulders to suddenly being blown right over your head. When deer stalking yesterday it gave away my position to the fallow deer, as it was all highly visible movement. Next up ..when the hood is up over your head it is "noisy". As you turn your head from side to side, your hair/face touching the material makes a rasping noise, which my stalking companion could actually hear. I'll try and get my local invisible mend shop to see if they can design and sew on a fastener to hold the hood in place when not in use. As for the noise and water entry I will just have to live with that. I've other SwedTeam kit and that is excellent. I cannot say that for this garments, though. As for BushWear - fabulous people to work with - great kit and great service - always.
