The Gerber Gorge is a compact, lightweight folding shovel built for backcountry use — useful for any stalker or outdoor shooter who needs to dig a quick foxhole, clear debris from a highseat base, or drive tent stakes on a prolonged expedition. The push-button slide mechanism deploys and locks the blade in one smooth action, while the glass-filled nylon shaft and rubberised overgrip give a secure hold whether you are shifting soil or switching to the integrated hammer mode at the base. Fold the head back and the reinforced base becomes a decent striker for driving tent pegs into hard ground. At 28 oz and packing down to a short stub, the Gorge disappears into a pack without complaint, and the included nylon drawstring bag keeps mud off the rest of your kit. A sensible, honest bit of outdoor kit backed by Gerber's limited lifetime warranty.
