The Hawke Vantage IR 1-4x20 is a compact, variable-power riflescope built for close-range shooting and driven game work, where rapid target acquisition matters as much as optical clarity. It runs on a 1-inch single-piece aluminium tube that is nitrogen purged and O-ring sealed, making it waterproof, fogproof and shockproof in field conditions. The L4A FD reticle uses a fibre-dot centre point that can be illuminated in red across 11 brightness levels — including settings bright enough for use in full daylight — set on the second focal plane so the aiming point stays a consistent size across the magnification range. Fully multi-coated lenses across the 11-layer H2 optics system deliver a bright, clear image from the 1x setting for both-eyes-open shooting up to 4x for more precise shots. A wide field of view of 33.1m at 100m on lowest power, generous 101mm eye relief, and a fixed 50-yard parallax make this an approachable and fast scope for woodland stalking, pest control and boar-style driven shooting. Capped, low-profile ½MOA turrets with a maximum adjustment range of 110MOA provide precise zeroing with minimal snag.
