The Pixfra Mile 3 M625 is the highest-resolution monocular in the Mile 3 series, carrying a 640×512, 12µm vanadium oxide sensor against the 384×288 of the M325 and M335. That is roughly twice the pixels on the same 25mm F0.9 objective, so the picture holds together at digital zoom where a smaller sensor breaks up, and identification at distance is materially easier. Thermal sensitivity is rated ≤15mK NETD and detection range is 1,300m.
The wider sensor also buys field of view: 30.6 × 24.4m at 100m, the widest in the series, which makes it the model to choose for scanning ground rather than reaching across it. Base magnification is 1.2x with 1x-8x digital zoom and 1m close focus. The 1920×1080, 0.49in OLED display carries six colour palettes, hot spot tracking, picture-in-picture and a compass, and the three-in-one control wheel works focus, zoom and the menu without needing your other hand.
PIPS 3.0 Pro image processing lifts fine detail and reduces noise. Video with audio records to 64GB of built-in storage, and Wi-Fi with the free Pixfra app allows remote control from a phone or tablet. The magnesium alloy body is IP67 rated, works from -30°C to +55°C and weighs 290g, with a quick-change 18650 lithium battery giving around 5 hours at 25°C with Wi-Fi off.
