Beechwood tar is one of the oldest and most reliable tools for drawing wild boar and deer to a specific location, and Akah's Beechwood Tar delivers the real thing in a generous 2.5-litre can. Produced from natural beechwood in the charcoal-making process, this is 100% pure, undiluted tar — not a diluted product cut with turpentine, kerosene or linseed oil. That matters in the field: undiluted beech tar retains its strong, characteristic aroma far longer than chemical blends, remaining effective at the application site for weeks rather than days. Apply it to a rubbing post, tree trunk, log or stump close to a wallow or known boar run; the penetrating scent carries over a distance and draws animals in to investigate and mark. Red deer and roe deer are also attracted to the scent, making it useful across mixed woodland management and driven-boar setups alike. The tar is weather-resistant once applied, so a single treatment will keep working through rain and frost without constant re-application. Suitable for year-round use.
