The Protektor Model #13 Rabbit Ear is a classic leather rear sandbag rest designed for benchrest and target rifle shooting. Founded by Basil Tuller in 1938, Protektor are the original makers of leather sandbag rests — their bags have been used to set numerous IBS world records. The #13 features twin upright ears that give it the distinctive rabbit-ear profile, each ear standing 2½ inches tall with a single stitch sewn between them. The taller ear design lets shooters apply the squeeze technique to make fine elevation adjustments during a shot without disturbing the rifle's point of aim. Compatible with any front bag, it suits a wide range of shooting distances and disciplines. The base measures 5 inches wide by 6¾ inches long, giving a stable footprint on the shooting bench. Constructed from top-grain cowhide leather — the same hide Protektor have used since the company was founded — the bag is built to last generations of regular use.
