The Hornady CX (Copper alloy eXpanding) 9.3mm .366" 250 grain is a monolithic hunting bullet for handloaders working with 9.3mm rifle cartridges such as the 9.3×62, 9.3×64 and 9.3×74R — all well-regarded in Europe for driven boar, red deer and large woodland game. Sold in boxes of 50, it is a component projectile for reloading, not loaded ammunition, and no firearms certificate is required to purchase it in the UK. The one-piece copper alloy construction eliminates core-jacket separation, delivering outstanding weight retention — Hornady specifies 95% or better — and deep, controlled penetration through heavy muscle and bone. The Heat Shield® tip is moulded from a heat-resistant polymer that resists aerodynamic heating during flight, maintaining a consistent, high ballistic coefficient from muzzle to target and ensuring bullet-to-bullet meplat uniformity for tight lot-to-lot consistency. Circumferential grooves reduce bearing surface and pressure, cutting fouling and keeping velocities consistent across a shooting session. Being a lead-free monolithic design, the CX is compliant with lead-free hunting requirements and suitable for use wherever non-traditional bullets are mandated.
