The Hornady Stuck Case Remover is a practical kit for recovering a brass case that has seized inside a sizing die — a problem that can happen to any reloader who runs out of case lube part-way through a batch. The kit includes a #7 drill bit and a ¼-inch-20 tap along with the remover body: you drill and tap into the primer pocket end of the stuck case, then thread the remover body in and use the press ram to pull the case cleanly out of the die without damage to the die itself. The remover body fits most presses via a universal shell holder ram, including Hornady, Redding, RCBS and others. This straightforward approach saves a sizing die that would otherwise need to be sent back to the manufacturer. Compact and simple, it is the kind of insurance kit that every reloading bench should have to hand, particularly for stalkers and hunters who size large quantities of brass in a session.
