The WEB-TEX Military Map Compass is a liquid-filled, military-style baseplate compass built for map reading and navigation in the field. The transparent baseplate is graduated in millimetres and carries a side rule in inches and mm, so you can measure distances straight off the map without reaching for separate kit. A liquid-damped capsule settles the needle quickly for a steady bearing, marked in both degrees and mils, while orienteering lines and a direction-of-travel arrow help you set a heading and walk it off accurately. A built-in magnifying lens makes fine grid detail and small contour readings easier to pick out, and the glow-in-the-dark points keep the compass usable as the light fades. The clear base also features Romer scales for common Ordnance Survey map ratios, taking the guesswork out of grid references. It is supplied complete with an olive green lanyard so it stays to hand on the move, full instructions for those learning navigation, and the manufacturer's lifetime guarantee.
