The Mjoelner Fenris II is a four-leg (quad) shooting stick built to give a genuinely stable platform regardless of terrain or shooting position, and this version uses aluminium legs finished in black. A cam-adjustable cradle system means the sticks lock solid whether you're shooting standing, kneeling or sitting, rather than needing to be reset for each position. Ergonomic, contoured silicone handgrips give a nonslip, comfortable hold and stop the legs clattering together as you move — useful when you're trying to stay quiet in the field. The cradle itself is silicone-covered for a secure, silent gun rest, and silicone gun straps hold the rifle steady while you wait, letting you switch targets quickly without fumbling. A paracord foot strap works as a "fifth leg", adding extra stability for standing long-range shots. The legs stand at 160cm as standard, with four supplied extensions adding around 12cm each for taller shooters. Impressive design

Starting with the only negative. A bit 'clacky' at the feet if the hard plastics contact each other. I solved it with slip-on 3D printed rubber covers. Some stretch camo tape would likely solve it too. On the positive side we have easy rifle placement onto the silicon mounts, with the front allowing reasonable lateral movement. I really like the supplied bootstrap. With practice it's easy to deploy and allows you to really lean into the shot giving you a very stable platform. It truely functions as a 'fifth leg'. I wedge the boot loop low down between the sticks legs while carrying and it drops into position on opening them. The silicone handgrips make it comfortable to carry in cold weather. At this price it's a huge step up from my own diy set and worth every penny.

Second time round

I owned and regularly used quad sticks when they first became popular more the ten years ago. Adjusting the height was an absolute pain at times and always seemed to be set wrong for the present opportunity. I bought a tripod with a clamp and then trigger sticks which I still find very convenient. The latest quad sticks are better designed and still give the best stability over any other system, at least in my experience.
