The Napier Protector Pro 5 is a fully padded shotgun slip built to carry and protect a broken or assembled shotgun to and from the shoot. The shell is tough black 600D polyester, while inside there is 8mm high-density foam padding and a non-snag black flock lining that keeps stock and barrels free of scuffs and rattle. A butt-end protector cushions the toe of the stock, and a full-length heavy-duty zip lets you load the gun easily and close it down securely. Napier has built in an internal pouch holder for a VP90 corrosion inhibitor sachet, so the action and metalwork are guarded against damp and rust between outings. A full-sized outer pocket takes chokes, your shotgun certificate, a cleaning cloth and other odds and ends. Carry is sorted by both fixed handles and an adjustable shoulder strap, so you can sling it across your back over rough ground or grab it quickly from the vehicle. At around 50 inches overall it suits standard barrel lengths for game and clay shooting, walked-up days and rough shooting.
