This pair of Napier .410 bore snap caps is machined from aluminium alloy and gives you a safe way to release the strikers on a .410 shotgun. Loading a snap cap into each chamber lets you dry-fire and ease the springs before the gun goes into the cabinet, taking the tension off the action without risking the firing pins against an empty breech. They are equally useful for checking the trigger pulls, practising your gun mount in the off season, and teaching safe handling without live ammunition anywhere near the gun. Each cap drops into the chamber like a standard .410 cartridge and ejects cleanly, so they suit single-barrel, side-by-side and over-and-under .410s alike. Built as a hard-wearing alloy dummy round, they stand up to repeated snapping far better than the gun's own components, which is why so many .410 owners keep a pair to hand.
