Tipton Felt Cleaning Pellets are a patch-free way to clean the bore of a .17 calibre rifle, and this pack contains 100 compressed-felt pellets along with one calibre-correct jag. Rather than wrapping a cotton patch around a jag, you push a single felt pellet through the barrel on the supplied jag, where it presses firmly into the lands and grooves of the rifling and carries out fouling, dirt and lead residue as it travels. Because each pellet is moulded to a consistent size and density, it gives a more even, repeatable fit than a hand-folded patch, and the tough felt holds together far better than cotton, so it will not shrink or shed fibres in the bore. For anyone who shoots a .17 for vermin control or range work and wants a quick, tidy clean between sessions, these pellets keep the barrel in good order and help maintain consistent accuracy.
