The H&N Slug HP is a hollow-point lead slug designed for high-power PCP air rifles, delivering accuracy at distances well beyond 50 metres. Unlike traditional diabolo pellets, these bullet-shaped slugs offer an excellent ballistic coefficient that produces a flatter trajectory and superior energy retention at range, making them a strong choice for hunters and serious target shooters pushing the limits of modern air rifles. The .249" diameter (6.34 mm) variant in 36 grain suits .25 calibre (6.35 mm) barrels and is coated with a special lubricant to reduce barrel friction and ease loading. For best results, H&N recommend a minimum muzzle energy of 25 Joules, with 40–60 Joules being the ideal working range. Rifled barrels with a faster twist rate designed specifically for slugs will produce significantly better accuracy. Every slug is visually inspected and hand-packed into a standard H&N screw-top tin with foam padding for transport, holding 120 projectiles per tin.
