The Bisley Alarm Mine is a simple, effective trip-wire alarm built to warn of anyone approaching a boundary, gateway, outbuilding or shed. It fires a single 12 gauge short saluting blank to produce a loud bang the moment its trip line is pulled, giving an unmistakable warning without any electronics or batteries to fail. The unit screws directly to a wooden post or fence, with the cartridge housing facing downward, and is set by running a fine trip line from the firing washer across the approach you want to cover. Once armed, any disturbance of the line fires the blank and sounds the alert immediately. It is equally useful for general perimeter security around farm buildings and gateways, or for scaring off crows and other pest birds from vulnerable ground. Reusable time and again, it just needs a fresh blank after each firing. A straightforward, no-nonsense piece of kit for anyone who wants an audible early warning without relying on cameras or mains power.
