This Parker-Hale one-piece rifle cleaning rod is built around a hardened and tempered steel core, wrapped in a tough acetate coating that stops the rod marking or wearing the bore as you clean. A ball-bearing handle lets the rod spin freely in your hand, so whatever brush, jag or patch you have fitted follows the rifling rather than fighting against it for a more even clean down the barrel. The red handle marks this out as the small-calibre rod, suited to .22 rifles, and it's fitted with a female thread rather than Parker-Hale's own male pattern, so it takes the popular American-thread brushes and jags many stalkers already have in their kit rather than needing Parker-Hale-specific attachments. Brass fittings at the working end resist corrosion with regular use.
