This Parker-Hale TUBED one-piece rifle rod is built for cleaning .270 calibre and larger rifle barrels, identified by its yellow rod and black handle. A hardened and tempered steel core runs the full 37-inch length, covered in a tough acetate coating that stops the rod marking or abrading the bore as it passes through. The ball-bearing swivel handle lets the fitted brush, jag or patch follow the barrel's rifling rather than twisting against it, for a cleaner, more even pass. Brass fittings resist wear at the working end. This version carries a male thread, matching Parker-Hale's own range of UK-pattern brushes, mops and jags, rather than the female-threaded American fittings sold separately. Made to a larger rod diameter than the .22-class version, it suits .270, .30-calibre and similarly large-bore stalking rifles.
