The Heat Shield tip — formed from heat-resistant polymer verified by Doppler radar — maintains its shape against aerodynamic heating throughout the bullet's entire flight path, preserving the industry-leading ballistic coefficient from muzzle to target. At conventional ranges (0–400 yards) the bullet expands progressively throughout its penetration path, with the InterLock ring and thick shank retaining 50–60% of bullet weight. At extended range (400+ yards) the Heat Shield tip is driven rearward on impact to initiate reliable expansion, delivering 85–90% weight retention with a large mushroom and deep wound channel.
